Crook County is located in the geographic center of Oregon (Central Oregon) and is located east of Bend and Redmond. Our 2,991 square mile county stretches from Deschutes County from the west to Wheeler County in the east.
The Crook County Sheriff's Office is comprised of over 30 full time law enforcement members. Leading this award-winning group of deputies is Sheriff Jim Hensley. The Crook County Sheriff's Office provides a wide range of Patrol, Investigative, Marine, Emergency Management, and SAR services to the county. The Crook County Sheriff's Office, along with other agencies in Crook County, strives to preserve the quality of life in our community by maintaining Crook County as a safe place to live, work, and visit.
